Erik Damsbaek founded Damsbaek Carpentry in 2012 but his passion for building started long before then. Growing up, Erik learnt a lot about the tools of his trade from his dad and he and his brothers spent most of their childhood outside building tree forts. Erik continued to follow his passion for building by working for small construction companies, gaining more knowledge and skills from seasoned carpenters along the way. Once Erik found himself in Ottawa, Ontario he earned a diploma in Building Construction and achieved his Red Seal certification in carpentry from Algonquin College. Through his years of experience and educational qualifications, Erik has a strong understanding of building codes, estimating and the design aspects of construction, which he applies to each and every project that Damsbaek Carpentry takes on.
